The Blue Light Weekend Air Show 2025 

The 2025 Blue Light Weekend air show filled the skies above Withernsea with a thrilling display of vintage charm and aerobatic skill. Crowds were treated to the sight of the 1955 Bell 47 helicopter, the Fairchild Argus flying alongside the bright yellow Boeing Stearman “Yorkshire Yankee”, and the graceful Tiger Moth.
 
The Jubilee Pitts aerobatic biplane wowed with high-energy manoeuvres, while the Starlings aerobatic duo delivered precision flying in close formation. Another Stearman, flown by Martin Blaze, added to the spectacle before the show reached its dramatic finale – a World War Two-style dogfight between a Hawker Hurricane and a Messerschmitt 108.
