Blue Light Weekend is turning up the volume for 2026 with the launch of Blue Light Live – two packed days of free music in Withernsea’s Italian Gardens on Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9.

 

Running from noon to 10pm on both days, Blue Light Live will feature a larger stage, a huge screen, food and refreshments and plenty of seating, including special Blue Light Weekend-branded deckchairs sponsored by City Health Care Partnership.

Saturday’s line-up is headed by the long-awaited return of popular Withernsea band the Axenals, alongside Slick Licks, Fozzdogs, The Charm Offensive, Jade Scott, Ryan Mosleh and the Mascot Singer finalists and friends.

 

Anyone who attended the riotous Mascot Singer event at the Northfield will know what to expect – and those who missed it are in for a treat.

Sunday will see Badness bring the music of Madness, Bad Manners, The Specials and the ska revival era to the seafront. They will be joined by The Alternative Solution, Bonemuel & Friends, The Monkey Butlers and Hull NHS Choir, before the weekend ends with a big firework display at 10pm.
