The founding ethos of Blue Light Weekend is that we are determined to put on a free, family, fun weekend in one of the most deprived regions of Britain.

 

Holderness folk simply don't have money to spend and that's why we try to make as many displays and fun events over the weekend completely free.

That said, all money raised over Blue Light Weekend itself is donated to local Blue Light, lifesaving or military veterans' charities (more than £6,000 in 2024).

​​

Therefore, given the scale of the event it won't be a surprise to learn that Blue Light Weekend costs a lot to stage each year, and this is something we struggle with.

​​​

We welcome all sponsorships - large or otherwise - and even smaller donations from members of the public provide us with massive encouragement to carry on!
