Blue Light Weekend - Withernsea Sea Swim 1 mile - FREE ENTRY

How many sea swims do you know off the Yorkshire coast? Not many as this is TOUGH ! With over 100 entrants in 2025 we believe this is Britain's biggest sea swim event!

To help you will swim with the current - so for example if you can swim 1 mile in a pool in around 40 mins, with a good current you could get a time of 30 mins in the sea!

Now in its 5th year and the traditional showcase opener to the Blue Light Weekend.

In 2026 the One Mile event will start on the beach in front of Captain Williams and end on the beach near RNLI Station in order to swim with the tide.

The Half Mile event starts at Pier Towers.

All meet at Captain Williams 10.45am for race brief. Swimmer's clothes/belongings will be taken to the finish.
